Lake Lanier Humane League is affiliated with St. Francis Rescue, Inc. We believe strongly that only by working together with other rescue organization will we be able to make a difference.

In 2015, the wonderful folks at St. Francis Rescue have finally decided to retire from rescue. Thank you for your many years of service and all of the lives you saved and impacted through your rescue.

The Humane League of Lake Lanier will now be filling their shoes to provide Collie rescue in Georgia.  


St. Francis Rescue, Inc.

img_stfrancis_logoSt. Francis is a state licensed shelter, established in 2001 to assist in rehabilitating and re-homing the large number of abandonedcollies in Georgia. We also take in collies from Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

We are located on the north side of Atlanta, Georgia. We also have fosters homes and collies located in Alabama.

When space permits, we take in collie mixes. We have also assisted with Shetland Sheepdogs, Sheltie mixes and Pekingese.

St. Francis Rescue, Inc. has been established to provide for the rescue and care of dogs that have been abandoned, neglected and/or abused by their previous owners. Adopting families acknowledge this purpose of providing safe, secure, affectionate and healthy environments for these dogs.

St. Francis Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
